Veteran French techno spinner, Laurent Garnier, has been forced to cancel upcoming US tour dates. In the early hours of yesterday morning (April 14), the courier van transporting his Visa and passport to his Paris office was stolen and set alight.

As a result, the F-Communications label boss has been forced to cancel tour dates in Atlanta, New York and Chicago. He commented: "I was really looking forward to these gigs and can only say how sorry I am that I am not going to be able to be there. I hope to be back again very soon."

Better news for Garnier's UK fans though, as he still intends to put in appearances at the F Communications party at London's The End, Saturday, May 10 and at the Slam tent at Scotland's T in the Park festival, Saturday July 12.
