Jon Carter, Sister Bliss and Tim Deluxe join Kosheen and Dirty Vegas next week at a charity gala taking place at the Kentish Town Forum on Thursday night, to raise funds for Warchild.

The charity helps child victims of wars, though avoids exp licit political issues, even organiser Emma B from Radio 1 told Skrufff this week.

"Warchild tries very hard to affect all sorts of places affected by war, whether that's the Balkans, Rwanda, Afghanistan or Iraq," said Emma.

"They don't prioritise places based on any political agenda which is another reason why it's easier for me to get involved."

Emma added, however, that's she delighted by the political impact the war on Iraq is having on young people in the UK.

"I think it's incredible that for the first time in 30 years we've seen people out on the streets protesting, after being labelled Generation X and accused of having no passion about any political subjects," she continued.

"The streets have been packed with young people and students expressing their opinions and I think that's fantastic."

She also revealed that her own views on the conflict remain ambivalent.

"Speaking honestly, I'm still really confused about the Iraq issue, and I've thought long and hard about it," she said.

"My personal stance is that I'm not sure we're doing the right thing but I'm also not sure how you would go about solving a situation that needs to be solved, either."

Drum & bassers Kosheen will be playing a special acoustic live set at the show, with Sarah Cox and TV presenter Vernon Kay, doing the comparing.

Tickets cost £17.50 in advance, £20 on the door; for more information dial Call 0207 344 0044 (UK number)
