New & Used, the prolific East Coast label does it again, announcing the return of New York's toughest house music heavyweight, one half of the Masters At Work legend - Kenny 'Dope' Gonzalez!

With firm roots in the beat laden melting pot of Brooklyn, it is no surprise Kenny evolved with his surroundings, stretching beats to their conceptual breaking point and finding admiration pouring in from all circles, Todd Terry sitting chiefly amongst these. His "Salsa House" track received heavy rotation from Little Louie Vega, culminating in their prolific relationship as Masters At Work - a 20 year affiliation that has seen them shepherd dance music down new paths with their inventive production style and imaginative feel for all music forms. Masters at Work have amassed an amazing, almost overwhelming body of work that includes hundreds of original productions, remixes and side projects, seeing them work alongside some of the biggest names and gracing music charts around the world to this day.

Defiantly mixing a plethora of genres, the Masters At Work moniker was more befitting than anyone could have guessed - a cultural melange unto themselves - they unified forms as broad as funk, soul, disco, latin, hip-hop and house. Gonzalez has consistently shown that he has an unequalled ability for programming the choicest beats to become one of America's most original rhythm generators. Among the most important contemporary producers of our time, he remains one of the most elusive and sought after live DJ's on the planet. New & Used presents Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez, the master of beats, a rhythm magician, don't' miss this rare opportunity as he graces the decks for what will be a lesson in global sounds alongside Melbourne's best local talent.

Kenny will be joined on July 31st by:
Grant Smillie - Expect the unexpected while he is on the decks- hands in the air house music all night long delicately infused with a touch of breaks, a dash of hip-hop and a sprinkle of disco, boompty boomp and electro fused animals that get the crowd wound up to boiling point. Having played some of the biggest name DJ events Australia has seen, Grant can definitely hold his own with the heavyweights and is never one to disappoint.

DJ Jorj - hailing from our very own Melbourne town Jorj is renowned for his dynamic sessions on the decks. Jorj will be exhibiting his unique style of soulful house and garage through a maze of wild percussion and deep funky sounds. We must congratulate Jorj on his recent production achievements. He has two tracks in this months DJ Magazine hype charts… "Don't You Love Me" on Curious and "Do You Feel" on Knee Deep's label. He will be playing a well deserved warm up to Kenny Dope!

Andy Murphy - Andy is certainly the "New" kid on the block when it comes to house music. Playing the main shifts and younger based clubs nights such as Room on a Tuesday and Thursday, Andy is the most recent addition to the New & Used roster and certainly one who will be biting at the heels of the big boys before long.
