Jungle Brothers (live)
In the fickle and fast-pace world of hip-hop, the word "legend" not always conveys what it should - it's just about the only suitable epithet that can be applied to the Jungle Brothers. Afrika (Nathaniel Hall) and cohort Mike G (Michael Small) have always broken new ground, taken chances and experimented with the music they grew up with, but perhaps it's only now that their genius is being recognized.

Instigators and innovators of hip-hop's golden age, the Jungle Brothers have refused to stand still and while others have fallen by the wayside, Afrika and Mike have just carried on, forever pushing the boundaries and making great music a long the way.

Way back when they released the groundbreaking 'Straight Out The Jungle' in 1988, the Jungle Brothers were at the vanguard of the New York hip-hop movement joined an elite handful of artists who'd managed to make the transition from essential singles to cohesive long players, Jungle Brothers made history with 'I'll House You' it became a huge international success, inventing overnight the hip-house genre and paving the way for Todd Terry to become one of the most sought-after remixes in the world.

The rest is history with many albums to follow and countless hits that the Jungle Brothers have gained a cult like following and legendary status in the world of hip hop and house music.
