Judge Jules told Skrufff this week he'll be DJing in Los Angeles, California this New Years Eve 'at a big festival in LA' and will be taking his family and our year old son Jake with him 'in an attempt to combine parenthood with the inevitable hedonism of NYE'.

"We're combining a trip to Disneyland with the large NYE US event, though naturally Jake won't be attending the gig," said Jules.

"He started school last month, and has to be back for the new term on January 6th, which puts a new perspective on the traditional month long January holiday most DJs take."

For the last three years running the Radio 1 jock DJed at Ministry of Sound's New Years Eve rave at London's Millennium Dome, though Ministry are restricting this year's festivities to a garage and R&B event at their newly refurbished Elephant & Castle venue.

In more NYE news, Shoreditch party promoters Hoxton Pimps have announced details of their value-for-money end of year event which takes places this year across four different venues in the area. £18 tickets will allow revellers to traipse between Cocomo, El Paso, Reliance and main base Rivington Studios, for their usual massively eclectic line-up of bands and DJs (including Fat Truckers, Steve Mackie (Pulp) Attica Blues and Detroit's Derrick Thompson).
