Judge Jules Condemns Club-Hating Dance Hacks

Much maligned DJ Judge Jules poured scorn on magazine and newspaper journalists trying to write off club culture this week, telling Skrufff 'the so-called death of dance has been fraudulently trumpeted by lazy London-based journalists who spend too much time in Hoxton."

"I've grown thoroughly sick of having to jump to the defence of dance music and club culture, just because some lazy journalist in his or her late thirties tries to write about a generation he or she no longer understands," Jules continued.

"I'd invite them out and show them what Friday and Saturday nights are really about, but what's the point- Let them write what they want and make fools of themselves."

Jules' tirade coincided with yet another negative overview of club history in the Guardian this week, in which perennially bitter critic Jack Peretti scoffed, "Judge Jules provided the biggest laughs imaginable with his rubber vest, Fly sunglasses and incredible inflatable parachute trousers."

The club hack also dismissed the rest of club culture since 1980 to the present, singling out newly fashion-conscious clubbers dressing up at clubs like Nag, Nag, Nag Nag and Kashpoint.

"Why don't you just stay at home," he sneered.

"Dressing up is more of a laugh than arriving at a club. A tip: I suggest jeans and a T shirt if you're going out. That'll really blow them away and you could always call it radical drag."
