Electro pioneer John Foxx has announced a series of live dates, to promote his new album Crash & Burn, which he co-produced with fellow Mancunian Louis Gordon.

The legendary experimentalist helped create today's electronic music culture through his first band Ultravox in the mid 70s, going on to release seminal electro-pop anthems like Underpass and No-One's Driving, as Britain's punk revolution shook up the country. His live shows, however, are likely to reflect his own continuing interest in the hippy era that preceded punk.

I'm interested in doing long electronic sessions like the ones that used to happen in Dusseldorf in 1970, but with modern beats, where you can operate on the level of making sounds where the sounds become the stars," John told Skrufff in a recent interview.

He also revealed he's never regretted walking away from Ultravox before they went on to become worldwide pop stars.

"I come from an art school background where you actually didn't give a fuck about money, you just did things you wanted to do and pursued them," he said.

"I've never worried about money."
