Is David Beckham Turning (Almost) All British Blokes Gay-

Manchester United fashion icon David Beckham is 'single-handedly transforming men's attitudes towards sex, love, nights out with the lads and homosexuality', according to a report in last weekend's Observer.

The sarong loving superstar is nowadays 'Britain's most influential man', the paper suggested, quoting from new research carried out by Dr Andrew Parker from Warwick University.

"He has broken so many strict traditional working class masculine codes of behaviour that he has the potential to influence lots of boys and young men to do the same, for example, accepting homosexuality as part of life," said Dr Parker.

However, electronica producer Lee Norris (aka Metamatics aka Norken) spoke to Skrufff this week and revealed that a significant number of Manchester City fans remain immune to Beckham's charms, even when he plays for England.

"It's the same for lots of City fans, some say 'Get behind England, it doesn't matter that Beckham and (Paul) Scholes are playing', but I can't justify that because I've spent my whole life criticising United," said Lee.

"I think he's a good footballer, David Beckham, but he plays for the scum, so I could never cheer him on."
