The chill-out king (Sa Trinchas is the name of the bar he spins at every afternoon) will be remaining in Australia for the next month and plays a series of outdoor parties and clubs, including several at hippy hangout Byron Bay and the Leighton Beach party on New Years Eve.
Chatting to Skrufff a while ago, Jon revealed he pays close attention to his crowd.
"I'm playing out in the open when I play at Sa Trinchas, so I'm really guided by the people around me," he said.
"I work spontaneously and I don't have a set list that I stick to, which requires a certain amount of discipline to be spontaneous but that's the way I like to play."
"I'm also an obsessive collector of music so I'm always buying new stuff; I buy the majority of my records myself," he continued.
"Old tracks, such as Pink Floyd's Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Pink Floyd), always go down well, the moment it comes on the whole beach picks up the vibe- I can feel it, and so can they. That's the definition of a vibe; we all know we're feeling something extra."
