Superstar DJ Lisa Lashes spoke to Skrufff this week and revealed that she spent her formative childhood years growing up as a fully practising Jehovah's Witness.

"I was a Witness from the age of 5 until I was 16, I remember going round the houses knocking on doors," Lisa admitted.

"I used to go to all the Bible meetings, too."

Nowadays renowned as one of dance culture's more outrageous sex symbols, the hard house star revealed that she quit the church after being forced to choose between prayer meetings and the pub, though added that she retains an active affection for much misunderstood religion.

"All the people who are Jehovah's Witnesses are lovely people," she revealed.
"There's a Kingdom Hall near where I live and I said to my boyfriend the other day, 'I wouldn't mind going back in there' and he told me 'You're weird'.

I just wanted to see inside, why not be surrounded by nice people sometimes- In this business it can be hard, some people aren't exactly the nicest in the world, are they-"

Lisa launches her first Ibiza club season on June 18, when she hosts Lashed In Ibiza at San Antonion's Eden alongside long term mate Anne Savage (who as far as Skrufff is aware has no links with the religious group).

Joining them at the all night hard house event will be Leeroy Thornhill of Prodigy fame (spinning breaks and booty bass in the back room), plus guest hard house DJs throughout the summer.
