Birmingham superclub organisation Godskitchen have been granted the licence for their third annual outdoor dance festival which takes place this year on July 26 at the usual Marston Airfield location (in the Midlands).

The licence has been approved for a capacity of 35,000 people, prompting a bullish immediate response from the organisers.

"The last two years have been a tremendous success and we have no doubt that this year will be equally as successful," said Godskitchen chief Neil Moffit.

This is a great year for Godskitchen and with the licence approved we are now looking forward to creating our best event yet."

In more dance festival news, PRs for Homelands annual Winchester event confirmed to Skrufff that this year's mega-rave will be happening on May 24 (bank holiday weekend). However, the event's title is changing slightly to become 'We Love… Homelands' to match the branding of key promoter Darren Hughes' other clubland activities in London and Ibiza.

Britain's best known outdoor festival Glastonbury still needs to obtain a licence for 2003 and there remains a chance that this year's event might not happen.
