Glastonbury Confirmed for 2004 (June 25-27)

Licensing authorities have a public entertainment licence for next year's Glastonbury Festival, meaning the event will be taking place on 25th, 26th and 27th June 2004.


According to the festival's site specific details still need to be finalised though the early approval is in marked contrast to recent years when the future of the entire event on occasion seemed in doubt.

Line-up details are also still undecided and organisers said they remain unsure about whether they'll be hosting a competition for upcoming bands.

"Currently the option of holding a competition for special slots on the Acoustic Stage, the Dance Tent, the New Tent, the One World Stage and the Other Stage is being considered," the latest official message said this week.

"Once a decision has been taken about how unsigned artistes can apply, it will be posted on this site - probably on December 1st."
