Gangsta DJs Poisoning Dance Culture, Says Mad Professor

Leading British dub pioneer the Mad Professor (aka Neil Fraser) blamed black street culture and 'gangsters posing as DJs, managers and producers' for the rise in UK gun crime, this week in a letter published in the Daily Telegraph.

"Let's be honest, the problem starts with the black community, " he claimed.

"We have to look at the causes. The influences of a music culture that glorifies the gun, homophobic aggression, male chauvinism and worships superficial wealth, is making its mark."

The Mad Professor, who's worked closely with Massive Attack, KLF and the Orb, also challenged the homophobia of rappers such as Eminem, telling the Independent 'ignorance breeds ignorance- you've got people picking on queers when they have done nothing. I blame DJs."

His comments came as British authorities announced they'll be clamping down on homophobic lyrics with people convicted of stirring up anti-gay hatred likely to face jail sentences, the Independent said.
