Gambling Ex Drug Czar Branded a Hypocrite

Conservative crusader and self proclaimed guardian of America's moral values Bill Bennett was labelled a hypocrite this week after media reports revealed that he's lost over $8million from gambling in the last ten years.

The former US drug czar initially defended his secret addiction to high-stake slot machines claiming he'd come 'pretty close' to breaking even. However, Newsweek and the Washington Monthly said casino sources 'just laughed' when they heard Bennett's claims, pointing out they'd routinely supplied him with free limousines and luxury hotel rooms, a practise restricted to 'special' customers.

"There's a term in the trade for this kind of gambler," one casino source who'd seen him in action, explained. "We call them losers."

The disgraced politician is one of the main architects behind America's War on Drugs and zero tolerance philosophy.
