Future DJ Gets Ready To Rock at the Prince of Wales

On Saturday 27th September at Room 680 Future DJ hosted its last Regional Final series and is now preparing for the culmination of an amazing project that started in November 2002.

The Future DJ Eastern Regional Final witnessed DJs competing from Swinburne University, Deakin University and Holmesglen Tafe, with Rael Borg (Holmesglen Tafe) and Tim Nixon (Swinburne University) going through to the Future DJ Final to be held at the Prince of Wales on Thursday 16th October.

The Future DJ competition in the first year has gained a phenomenal amount of interest, what's even more impressive is that the competition has literally been created from scratch with an initial budget of $0 and has had an amazing line up of organisations and corporations within the tertiary market and industry that have come together for it.

Just in case you're not aware check out how's involved - Zebra Magazine, Hardware Corporation, UK superclub Slinky, 12am.com.au, Seven nightclub, Room 680, the Prince of Wales, Revolver Upstairs, Area 61, Venom Lounge, Exclusive Artists (agents for DJs such as John Course, Sean Quinn, Kasey Taylor and Andy Van to name a few), Pro Light and Sound, Numark, promoters - One Love, Smile Police, Upfront Records, Pervert Clothing, 1800 Reverse, the Dance Music Event Operation course.....

With the powerful alliance of the following tertiary student union organisations - Tertiary Recreation Entertainment Victoria, Australasian Association of Campus Activities and tertiary student unions from the following institutions - Monash University, RMIT, Melbourne University, Victoria University, Deakin University, Swinburne University, La Trobe University, Ballarat University, Holmesglen Tafe, Chisholm Tafe, Box Hill Tafe, NMIT, William Angliss Institute of Tafe, Gordon Tafe and Kangan Batman Tafe......

Future DJ's Director Ravi Chand, went on to simply say, "Now it's on. Be prepared for the birth of something quite special".
