Skint Records, the label who transformed Norman Fatboy Slim Cook into a global superstar, have signed DJ Tiga's cover of Nelly's Hot In Herre, some 6 months after the track first appeared on white label, on indie label K7.

The hip hop based release will be the Canadian producer's first UK single since last year's electroclash anthem Sunglasses At Night and could easily catapult him to pop star level success when it comes out in July.

"I always wanted to be like David Bowie or Mick Jagger, the guy dancing at the centre, though as it's got more conceivable my attitude has changed," Tiga told Skrufff, earlier this year.

"Fame is weird because it's a double edged sword; in order to get 'big' there's so much bullshit involved and in many ways I question it; it's very difficult to get seriously famous and still be an honest artist," he claimed.

"But the short answer is, yeah, fuck, I want to be famous."
