Bookings for holidays in notorious sun, sex and sangria resort Falaraki next year have plunged by over two thirds, package tour operators Thompson Holidays revealed, suggesting Britain's army of bottom-bearing revellers will be dropping their pants elsewhere next summer.

The massive slump coincided with moves by Greek police to introduce over 18 drinking rules on the island next year, enforced by a special English speaking task force, which should further discourage young mooners, from across British classes.

Writing about the delinquency phenomenon this summer, Daily Telegraph columnist Andrew Gimson admitted to feeling a certain admiration for the 'pluck' and 'fighting spirit' of young Brits abroad, adding 'this national characteristic does not seem to be a question of class, nor is it new.

"Part of the reason for this obscene and destructive behaviour lies in the shyness of young Englishmen," he suggested.
