Elevate the bass 1st Birthday

One year ago Kelly Bayliss (aka Baby K) and Andrew Golden (aka Dj Justin Kase) began running a small hard dance/hard trance party called Elevate The Bass, every Thursday night at the Metro nightclub. The twist is that each Thursday night Metro is transformed into Goo, Melbourne's biggest punk and alternative music night, hardly the place you'd expect to find Melbourne's best Dj's banging the latest and greatest hard dance tunes.

Over the past year Elevate the Bass has gone from very humble beginnings to now being a high-energy party that starts the weekend for so many people. 2002 saw Elevate The Bass host international guests Paul Brisk, Kevin Energy, Daniel Ro and Mobi-d as well as showcasing Melbourne's best talent each week with Dj's Justin Kase, Ajax, Hell Kitte, Master Kaos, Scott Alert, Mister Ed, Compound and Krash. Elevate The Bass has also helped further the careers of many up and coming Dj's with Kamikaze, SAB, LCK, Gazmatron, Luko and Vlad all coming on board the Dj rotation..

So one year down the track on February 20th Elevate The Bass celebrates its 1st birthday. Their will be big celebrations all night commencing at 10:30pm with Dj's Justin Kase, Ajax, Master Kaos, Mister Ed and Hell Kitte playing until sunrise. The birthday party will also feature the release of Elevator vol 1 as a free giveaway to those who come along and join the party, as well as drink specials all night. Kelly and Andy would like to thank all of the people who have contributed to making Elevate The Bass a success and look forward to spending many more Thursday nights with you all.
