Author: Michelle Pirovich
Sunday, October 26, 2003
After developing his writing and production skills in the privacy of his studio over a number of years, Melbourne based musician and producer Colin Snape aka Scrambler was convinced by Australian breaks legend Phil K to take it to the people.

Scrambler's 'Free', featuring a stunning vocal by Amarevois, appeared on Phil's 'Balance 004' mix CD which gathered international acclaim, instantly turning 'Free' into one of the most talked about tracks on the compilation.

The Original mix, also engineered by Ivan Gough (Zero Tolerance) is a floating break-beat track that builds and builds with layers of melody complimenting Amarevois beautiful vocals to full effect, turning this masterpiece into an instant classic. As an added bonus the full Accapella is also featured.

On the remix we have two of Australia's most in demand producer/DJs; Phil K and Luke Chable, who under their Lo-Step (signed to Global Underground) moniker serve up an epic and blissed out break-beat monster that had Sasha doing back-flips when Phil K played at the Zoukout Festival in Singapore a few months ago. This remix, has to be heard to be believed…Major support from Sasha & Phil K.
