EQ/Stomp welcomes DJ A-Trak's Audio Research label

WHO ARE Audio Research Records- - Founded in July 1997 with a total budget of 900 Canadian dollars. The label is owned and run by DMC, ITF and Vestax world champion DJ A-Trak, his brother Dave One who is also the rap editor at Vice magazine,(USA) and former Rawkus art director Willo.

As their first CD release, Rugged Radio Saturday is an introduction to what Audio Research has been up to for the last five years or so, it features some of the label's best selling singles (available for the first time on CD), as well as a bunch of new and unreleased tracks from Obscure Disorder, D-Styles, DJ Serious and more. With its series of critically acclaimed singles and battle records, Audio Research has crafted a unique aesthetic which combines hard edged, true school beats, no nonsense rhymes, turntablism and avant-garde artwork.

Three time DMC world champion and Audio Research amigo DJ Craze takes on deck duties for the album, creating a seamless mix of cuts and blends.

Production is handled by A-Trak, Dave One, Necro, DJ Serious and Simahlak and guest appearances include ILL BiLL and Goretex of Non Phixion, Q-Bert, Babu and Melo-D.

DMC, ITF and Vestax world champion A-Trak is featured on almost every track.
