DnB's Micky Finn heading to Australia

Author: Sam Cameron
Monday, November 17, 2003
Micky Finn first got into DJ'ing in the late eighties, when he had had enough of the DJ's on the radio talking and interrupting the tunes he was trying to record onto tape.

He became well known in the advent of the Acid House movement in South London and by the early nineties, breakbeat and loose jungle techno was filling his record boxes as he travelled the length and breadth oh the UK in a continuous flow.

Being at the helm of the UK drum and bass phenomenon meant that his record bags were full of the most upfront dubplates and latest releases from producers all around the world, so naturally when word got out of the reputation he had for annihilating dance floors, DJ bookings from all over the word began flooding in.

In November 2002, Micky released a mix cd titled 'Takeover Bid II' through global dance music network DMC, and completed another global tour, meaning that he has played in excess of over 900 cities since he first began DJing and has collaborated in the studio with Beastie Boys, Moby, Jungle Brothers, Carl Cox, Apollo 440 and Aphrodite.
