Depeche Man Steps Out Alone

Martin Gore has announced a series of live dates in Europe, to promote his upcoming solo album Counterfeit2. The record matches the recent effort by former Depeche band mate Vince Clarke, being an album of covers, in Gore's case, being songs he felt a visceral (instinctive) emotional attachment towards.

"I really wanted to get across a fan's perspective," he said this week.

"There is something about the songs I like that somehow gives the album a thread. Deep emotions, I suppose. There has to be a personal connection."

April 22: Stockholm, Nalen
April 24: Cologne, E-Werk
April 26: Hamburg, Hamburg Docks
April 28: Paris, La Cigale
April 30: Milan, Alcatraz
May 2: London, Astoria
