Deep Dish Come Out For Canada

Washington based progressive house duo Deep Dish have branded their new Global Underground compilation around Toronto, just as cross border relations between Canada and the US reached a new diplomatic nadir.

"We felt that Canada had been neglected for a long time," said Deep Dish's Sharem Tayebi, a fact hisproduction partner Ali Shirazinia agreed with.

"When we say Toronto, we're really saying Canada," he stressed. "We've met a lot of talented people and great promoters and we jumped at the chance to shine a light on them."

The duo's comments came just days after casinos in the American border town of Niagara Falls refused admissions to gamblers from Toronto over health fears about SARS. Niagra Falls mayor Irene Elia was even more hostile, warning Americans 'if you visit Canada, you should wash your hands frequently'. (The Australian)
