Dedbeat 3
28TH, 1ST & 2ND Feb/March 2003
Pontin's Holiday Village
Hemsby
Norfolk

Mike Ladd & The Majesticons, Infinite Livez, Ceephax, The Bug, Capitol K and DJ Rubbish join the Dedbeat Weekender.

Once called the Tom Waits of hip hop, Mike Ladd's deeply soulful words surpass this decade, back to the roots of Black Folk and culture. Mike Ladd moves in and out of the perimeters of hip hop, poetry and solid soul, capturing the energy, mentality, anger and controversy of present day American life. Well-known in New York's underground performance scene, this poet/emcee regularly expresses himself to packed houses, leaving indelible impressions with his uniquely provocative musical style. Having shared the stage with such artists as The Last Poets, KRS-1, De La Soul and the Dream Warriors, Mike Ladd & The Majesticons make a very welcome appearance with the dedbeat massive.

Infinite Livez return from their superb 'Emceeme' split 12" release on Big Dada with a former FKO Raw winner on the mike, whilst Ceephax makes uncompromising 'brain dance' tackle with a twist and is hotly-tipped to join the lofty echelons of electronic mavericks such as his elder bruv, Squarepusher. Watch this space as they say.

Having made mind bending electronic madness for some years now Capitol K joins the Plant Mu - Rephlex Alliance, the one and only DJ Rubbish will be airing his Armaggedon Session style madness to those still left standing and The Bug will be, er 'bugging out'.

The remaining tickets are now on sale through Dedbeat direct:
0870 1611 626 £90 per person + booking fee.

All tickets include weekend, self catering, ensuite, chalet accomodation and 3 days of Hip Hop, Electronics and Funk. Chalet sizes available are 4, 5, 6 & 7 berth (8 berth are sold out).

Dedbeat are reverting to the trusted method when they were in control of bookings. Now you have absolutely no chance of being booked into a hard house weekender. Respect to those that have shown incredible patience by holding on to tickets (nearly all of you), and sorry for the cocking about to those who now can't make it.

For more info on all the weekend activities (Skate Ramps, Live Graff, Music Workshops, Commando Zip line, B-Boy Battles, Dedwave TV etc.) see www.dedbeat.net <http://www.dedbeat.net> .
