David Guetta Shamelessly Slaughters Heroes

'Just For One Day (Heroes)' was never meant to be released, according to the press release accompanying David Guetta's new bootleg style single, and in an ideal world that's how it would have stayed.

Though Daft Punk's Thomas Bangalter and fellow French producers Cassius apparently heard Guetta playing it in Amsterdam last December and (presumably playing a cruel joke-) have now persuaded him to release it.

In Guetta's defence, the veteran French promoter/ DJ only intended his horrifically repetitive version as a tongue-in-cheek DJ tool for his own sets, though his Texas Chainsaw style massacre of Bowie's greatest track is really inexcusable. Brutal, basic, boring and bland, 'Just For One Day (Heroes)' is truly awful. Though with David Bowie reportedly 'loving it', it could well be a big hit.
