Rock legend David Bowie has announced details of a new remix album Club Bowie, which comprises 8 dance remixes of some of his most popular tunes.

As well as Scumfrog's mix of This Is Not America, Danny S's China Girl and two versions of Let's Dance, the album includes David Guetta's ultra-repetitive house version of Heroes, which popped up all over Ibiza this summer.

"I usually make electro or acid but this track started out as a joke," David told Skrufff recently.

"I don't like all of his stuff but I always loved the Bowie original; that line 'We can be heroes, just for one day' is what clubbing is all about. The lyrics are the story of my life and I think of every clubber's life."

David Bowie, meanwhile, revealed that the story of his current life is more based around watching TV (specifically re-runs of the Office) with a selected bunch of invited guests.

"Hosting a dinner party is almost a profession in New York," Bowie told the Standard.

"We just do it for our really close friends."

Club Bowie: Rare and Unreleased 12" Mixes is out on November 24 on Virgin Records.
