Richard Norris from The Droids broke his arm in three places this week, after the crowd failed to catch him when he attempted stage diving at a London gig. His ultra fashionable new electro band were supporting 'Danger, Danger' popstars Electric Six at the Electric Ballroom when tragedy struck.

"The gig was going really well, it was obviously packed and we were getting a fantastic response and then during the very last track, Richard jumped into the crowd and hit the deck," fellow Droids man John Taylor told Skrufff.

"He's been let of hospital today (Friday 14th) but his arm is actually broken in three places. He's going to soldier on and do the next few gigs with a broken arm."

Norris previously made his name as one half of The Grid alongside Soft Cell's Dave Ball) and looks poised (accident permitting) for similar success with the Droids. The band recently signed to Alan McGee's Poptones label, through which they'll shortly be releasing a new single Take Me I'm Yours, a cover of The Squeeze's debut single from the late 70s.
