Britain's angriest chillout maestro DJ Pathaan is set to finally release his long awaited mix album World Peace this June, following a period of what his label Stoned Asia described this week as 'hard work and soul-searching'.

His new version contains new tracks such as Ikarus' Balearic style workout Touched The Sun and Pathaan's own reworking of percussion legend Trlok Gurtu's track Future Heat and is being released as a musical statement from his label Stoned Asia Music.

"Yes, September 11 was an atrocity and I was sickened by that event but I was also sickened by the retaliation that followed," Pathaan told Skrufff in a recent interview.

"Many people have said it but an eye for an eye really does make everyone blind and the retaliation side was full on."

My vibe is this; I'm not a politician but I want to use what means I have available to put my message across. Honestly, do I think music can change and influence man- Yes, I think it can and yes that might be a hippy, flowered up way of looking at things but fuck it, man."

Stoned Asia Music Presents World Peace is our on June 23. Pathaan also DJs alongside Mixmaster Morris this Bank Holiday Sunday at London's Market Place bar from 6pm-11pm- entry is free.
