DJ Pathaan Labours For World Peace

Downtempo/ world music specialist DJ Pathaan has finally got the green light for his long awaited compilation CD World Peace, and confirmed this week that the album is definitely coming out on June23 (on Kickin Records/ Stoned Asia Music). The new version includes several different tracks from the promo copies that appeared last summer though maintains the outspoken DJ's musical and ethical concerns.

"I'm trying to use music to push a message across and the message basically is I'm pissed off," Pathaan told Skrufff last September.

"If you believe everything that the press says then chill-out is dead so World Peace can't rock anymore. I'm saying, maybe the word 'chill-out' has gone but here' s another route.

I don't want superstardom just recognition," he added.
