2003 is going to be about avante-garde music and lots of brand new musical directions, said Gigolo Records chief DJ Hell, in an exclusive interview about his plans for the New Year.

"I have to find new clubs where people appreciate this new flavour I'm spinning right now," said Hell.

"It's gonna be the wildest year with lots of innovation and great avantgarde music coming out on Gigolo."

The hugely experienced German producer achieved unprecedented global success in 2002 both as a DJ and via his label Gigolo, which pioneered and helped break the hugely exciting electro/disco scene. And with new releases coming from Fischerspooner (remixes of Emerge) and Miss Kittin (a fantastic Adam Sky rock remix of Miss Kittin's Stock Exchange), his profile looks certain to rise even higher.

"The hardest pressure comes from myself, I don't care what other people say," Hell told Skrufff late last year.

"I don't want to repeat myself or imitate myself or even believe what's written in the press about me. I deliberately try to avoid doing the same thing again and again and by following this strategy I think it's the only way I've kept interested and been able to stay in the business for two decades."

Miss Kittin & The Hacker's new single Stock Exchange is out on February 10 with a fantastic rock & roll remix by Adam Sky, aka Adamski.
