DJ Hell is headlining a massive Gigolo Records bash to coincide with this year's Berlin Love Parade featuring guest appearances from Fat Truckers, Black Strobe (live) and Terranova.

First We Take Manhattan happens on July 13 at the Cafe Moskau and will presumably include an appearance from Amanda Lapore, the New York transsexual who recently replaced Sid Vicious as Gigolo's brand image and icon.

"To tell you the truth I was really into New Romantic music (in the early 80s), I used to put makeup on my face like Boy George," Hell admitted to Skrufff earlier this year.

"I also liked the music of Duran Duran and Ultravox and early electro pop stuff, though the unusual thing was that I always liked disco and punk simultaneously."

The superstar German DJ also revealed that despite starting his DJ career in Berlin in the late 70s he never met famous club denizens of the time like David Bowie.

"Bowie was always in the clubs with Iggy Pop though I never met him. I lived in Berlin but I wasn't DJing that much because I had no reputation. Nobody knew me at that time," said Hell.
