Could Medicine 8's Kimchi 45 Cure House-

London house duo Medicine 8 release an impressively original sounding single next week which should establish the brothers as serious potential saviours of house.

Kimchi 45, an instrumental, electronic acid house style track is as catchy and unusual as their breakthrough single Capital Rockas and comes out on EMI imprint Regal Recordings.

"We consider Medicine 8 to be about making music first, before DJing, we also make all kinds of music that's not just for the dance floor," Luke told Skrufff in an interview last year.

"Though one of the things we like about dance music is its club side, we like going out to clubs much more than gigs. I'm not interested in the whole rock superstar side of things either," he added.

He also displayed a distinctly less than reverential attitude to acid house's originators including his namesame Derrick May.

"I saw him on a TV programme one, a history of acid house programme and he seemed like a pissed off bloke he's very serious," said Luke.

"I love his music though, both of us do."
