Officials from Britain's Foreign office this week revealed that Greece has the worst record for sex attacks on British women, with a third of all reported rapes of British women overseas, happening there last year. 60 women were raped in Greece over the last 2 years, according to official statistics, with new clubbing destination Falaraki being a particularly dangerous spot, the Guardian revealed.

London police also warned last week that stranger rapists are increasingly operating in pubs and clubs, chatting up victims to turn the attack into 'acquaintance rape' (date rape).

Detective Chief Inspector Richard Walton said that advances in DNA technology had prompted the change in tactics by such sex attackers, which changed the issue if they're caught from being one of identifying the attacker to a question of whether the victim consented.
