Massive Attack this week cancelled then re-instated two upcoming gigs in New Zealand, as mainman Robert 3D Del Nadja continued to come under press scrutiny following child abuse allegations. The Mirror suggested last week that he'd removed his name from the doorbell in his Bristol block of flats 'amid fears of anti-paedophile vigilante attacks', though Del Nadja continues to strenuously deny the charges.

The New Zealand dates will now go ahead three weeks later than originally scheduled (on March 29 and 30) though whether Del Nadja enjoys them looks unlikely, judging by comments he made before the child sex claims emerged.

"I love and hate performing," 3D told Onion's Tim Duggan in a recent interview.

"As much as I love the communication and amplification side of it, I also feel slightly absurd. What the f*ck am I doing up here- I find it a little bit odd. I'm terrified about it."
