Calling all bleepheads

Time to get off your ass and pull your digitals out. As part of Melbourne's Fringe Festival comes the electroVision@Fringe Song Competition.

They are looking for new and emerging artists working with sound in a digital environment.

It is open nationally to anyone creating music digitally, wether through manipulating analogue sounds and instruments or creating in the digital medium.

Brand new 5minute long digital compositions, unreleased, unpublished and previously unheard are the order of the day.

The judges will be looking for works that explore and expand the possibilities of computer based composition and production, evaluating the use of technology, originality overall aesthetic and artistry.

Registrations need to be in by Friday August 15.
