Boo Yaa TRIBE lands in the US charts

The brand new Boo Yaa TRIBE album, West Koasta Nostra, has landed in the US Billboard charts - Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Top Independent Albums - as a new entry, first week in. Boo Ya TRIBE is LA based hip-hop crew comprising of 6 big, bad-ass Samoan brothers. With West Koasta Nostra they unleash a storm with their biggest, most bangin' album ever, recruiting some of the biggest names in hip hop, including Eminem, Cypress Hill's B-Real, Mack 10, WC, Kurupt, Crooked I, Knoc-Turn.Al, Kokane, Short Khop, Eastwood and Gail Gotti. The album is produced by G-funk producer extraordinaire, Battlecat (Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube) and is chock full of hot musical morsels (out now through Stomp).

Boo Yaa TRIBE rose to prominence with its 1990 debut New Funky Nation, which sold over 100,000 copies. In '92 they performed on the Lollapalooza Tour, which earned them great respect for their dynamic stage show, and have since had several underground albums, with forays into the rap- metal genre. Boo Ya Tribe member Gawtti, can be seen on the big screen right now in the movie The Italian Job.

Boo Yaa TRIBE West Koasta Nostra is Sarinjay Entertainment's first hip hop signing, and is out now in Australia, distributed exclusively by Stomp Distribution. The CD package includes bonus DVD featuring the music video/behind the scenes footage.
