Boo Ya Tribe the gangsta rap outfit comprising the Samoan descended Los Angeles based Devoux brothers . . Godfather, Kobra, Monsta O, Ganxsta Ridd, Murder One, & Gawtti, have gone back to their rap roots & attracted the help of G-funk producer extraordinaire, Battlecat (Snoop Dogg , Ice Cube), as well as guest artists such as Eminem , Mack 10, WC, Kurupt, B-Real (Cypress Hill ) , Crooked I, Knoc-Turn'al, Kokane, Short Khop, Eastwood & Gail Gotti!!.. . .

In 1989, the brothers signed to Island Records and recorded their critically acclaimed debut album New Funky Nation. The album sold over 100,000 copies. In '92 they performed on the Lollapalooza Tour which earned them great respect for their dynamic stage show.
