Ben Watt moves on

Lazy Dog co-founder, Ben Watt, has will be opening a new club come summer. Subterania, will be run with his partner in the nearby Cherry Jam venue, Alan Grant. The 600-capacity venue renamed Neighbourhood, will be a completely refurbished to create a "state-of-the-art social and music space."

Lazy Dog's birthday/closing parties will take place on Sunday April 27 at the Notting Hill Arts Club and Friday May 16 at The End.

Ben also recently launched a brand new independent record label, Buzzin' Fly. The first release - 'Lone Cat' - is his own production it comes out April 28.

To top it off, Watt is midway through a solo album project for Virgin Records. Word has it that he is preparing a long player of spoken word, with narrative, beats and song with guest collaborators.
