Coinciding with the release of a new album 'The World According To RZA', the Wu Tang Clan leader, will tour Australia in late August (see tour dates below).

The RZA is the Wu Tang Clan's founding member and chief producer. A man with many aliases - Bobby Digital, Rakeem, The Rzarector, The Abbot - RZA is recognised as one of the most influential and prolific producers in hip hop.

The RZA's imagination is what has driven Wu Tang to where it is today. Making his debut in 1991 with the self produced 'Ooh I Love You Rakeem' on Tommy Boy Records, it was in April 1992 after a life changing experience (RZA was acquitted on charges of attempted murder) that the Wu Tang business idea was born. By October that same year, the first single 'Protect Ya Neck' was recorded on Wu Tang Records, a year later '36 Chambers' was released. The rest, as they say, is history. Many platinum albums and a Grammy later, having executed a master plan to infiltrate the industry by having each individual Wu member sign solo deals with different record labels, RZA is still building the Wu Tang empire. It includes his production company, record labels, clothing company Wu Wear, Wu Electronics, while further branching out into movies. In addition, the RZA has overseen production for non-Wu artists such as Cypress Hill, Notorious BIG and Bjork, formed his own supergroup Gravediggaz with Prince Paul, Fruitkwan and Poetic, and recorded 'Ghost Dog: The Way Of The Samurai' soundtrack album.

In Australia for the first time ever to perform live (with Wu ensemble), RZA's new album 'The World According To RZA' (released August 18 on Method Recordings/Shock Records) features the single 'I've Never See' (out August 4), with the stunning vocals of Xavier Naidoo. It has just charted at # 1 in the German singles chart and is the perfect introduction to the new album.
