Breaks DJ turned politically conscious activist Adam Freeland chatted to Skrufff this week and revealed he's expecting terrorists to launch weapons of mass destruction in England sooner rather than later.

"I wouldn't be surprised if someone dropped a dirty bomb on London, I think the situation's pretty bleak, man," said Adam.

"I wouldn't be surprised at all."

Adam, who recently released We Want Your Soul, a furious tirade against US-style consumerism, was also unrepentant about a recent Mixmag interview in which he revealed his first reaction on seeing the planes hitting the Twin Towers on 911 had been to think, 'you fucking had it coming'.

"I didn't mean in that quote that those people deserved to die, but what I did mean was that American foreign policy has been so fucking hideous for such a long time that they had it coming," he explained.

"It's amazing something like that hasn't happened before. Britain's foreign policy is pretty much as bad as America's too, so I'm not saying that in the sense of 'fucking Yanks' either, because we're just as bad."

"I feel if artists aren't going to speak out and say something, then who is-" Adam continued.

"It's very uncool to say something these days, it's not cool to say what you actually think and it's certainly not cool to have a political opinion in electronic music."

"It's cool instead to be mute and bling, which is ridiculous."

We Want Your Soul is available on Adam's debut album Now And Them (released under his new band persona Freeland) on Virgin/ Gronland Records. Adam also picked up another award this week winning 'Best International DJ' at Australia's DMA Awards.
