Westwood Anounces Album Line=Up

Tim Westwood, the UK's authority on hip-hop, has announced the names of the unsigned UK hip-hop artists who will be featured on his new mix for www.trustthedj.com entitled "Westwood Presents: UK Hip-Hop 2002 Vol.1"

The album, due for release on August 29th, showcases the best in both established and unsigned UK hip-hop talent and is exclusively available from www.timwestwood.com. The album features UK hip-hop luminaries such as Iceberg Slimm, The 57th Dynasty and Fredi Kruga. Four crews who submitted demos have been included, they are:

H&M feat. Bronze & Black from North London
Outdaville from Nottingham
The Mighty MPD Coup from Brixton
First Man & DVS from Clapham and Streatham


Commenting on the response from unsigned artists Westwood said:

"When we asked people to submit their demo's, we received nearly 1000 in the first week - such is the incredible need for an outlet by unsigned UK artists......I'm amazed by the response I've had and wish I could put them all on my album! Because the quality of entries was so good I will hopefully be putting together Westwood Vol.2 for TrusttheDJ real soon. "

Volume 2 will certainly happen and is set for release in the next few months. It will be championing the wealth of unsigned demos Westwood has received.
