"Water" Means Angel Dust

Clubbers who say they drink "water" could well be talking about methamphetamine and even PCP, a new government backed drug information site revealed this week, in the States.

The new portal, funded by US authorities, has been set up to provide journalists with "the facts about drug abuse from the experts themselves -- people on the medical, scientific, public policy and law enforcement front lines," and reveals the true meaning of water in a glossary of street terms apparently used by modern drug users.

Other terms they explain include "candy ravers" (young people who attend raves) and one that's presumably meant as an insult, "E-tards" (for people under the influence of MDMA). That young ravers now call PCP water is particularly sinister since under its previous (70s) street name of Angel Dust, the substance was one of the most feared drugs in US cities (users were supposed to be able to lift cars).
