War on Doughnuts Next-

With obesity death rates soaring, American prohibitionists could be about to turn their attentions towards fatty foods, leading US columnist Steve Stephens suggested this week.

Mocking the linkage between the war on terror and war on drugs, the Columbus Dispatch writer suggested high fat foods like pizza and donuts could be outlawed by 2012.

"There is no such thing as a victimless meal,'' Senator Buncombe will pronounce
very loudly at a news conference," he suggested.

"A fatty-food junkie may eat in the privacy of his own home, but when that same junkie steals money for a Pringles fix; when he glamorises his depraved, greasy lifestyle among our youth; then society pays. You pay."
