Two men were stabbed at The Met Bar last Saturday night (November 9) during a fight between two groups of men inside the VIP bar. The knifeman reportedly ran out of the Mayfair shirtless, leaving one of his victims critically wounded (ie suffering life threatening injuries). A suspect was later detained, according to newspaper reports, while the 36 year old victim remains in hospital in a "serious" condition.

The stabbing happened just over a year after a 25 year old reveller at rival West End celebrity venue Kabaret was murdered outside the club, by a still unidentified gunman.

Nana Osei-Agyapong was killed as he sat in his car in Golden Square (minutes from the Met Bar) after his friend went to the assistance of a girl they knew who was being harassed by two men in Golden Square. A hooded gunman reportedly shot Mr Osei-Agyapong before disappearing into the night.

Pleading for information to help solve the case, investigating officer Kevin Fitzgerald last week begged the well-heeled customers of the club to contact him, even though the incident happened over a year ago.

"At the club that evening were select people- there by invitation only," he told the Standard.

"Some know exactly who pulled the trigger."
