UK Festival Tips 2002; Coke & Comas

NME published a highly entertaining16 page festival guide this week which included some fiercely controversial comments in its introduction.

"The Festival season: what on Earth could be better-" asked Mark Beaumont. "Well an England World Cup victory and a large bowl of cocaine perhaps, but other than that absolutely nothing."

While NME honed in on the deluded hope of an England soccer victory, Q Magazine's new also informative guide includes handy advice for fainting victims.

"Let the person sink to the ground and then raise their feet- that way gravity will get blood back to their brain more quickly," they recommend.

"If they haven't come round in a minute or two, put them in a recovery position and get help immediately."
