"Once you pass 50 you're bullet proof, you're still performing and doing it and kids like it, you're not pretending to be a kid," Jones told the Guardian.

When I turned 30, I thought, God I can't get away with being a kid anymore, but when you hit 60 you stop worrying. And people tell you, you look fantastic."

Sparks mainman Russell Mael agreed, recalling the initial reaction to their seminal 70s album Number One In Heaven.

"We were this evil thing disco," he told the Telegraph. "Now 20 years later, disco is seen as kinda' cool. In retrospect, they look back on that album as like the Bible of electronic pop music."

Both acts have new albums coming out imminently.
