Tim Westwood Announces UK Talent Search

UK hip-hop legend Tim Westwood has announced that he's searching for the best new talent in UK hip-hop to showcase on a new compilation album.

The album will be promoted and released worldwide via Tim's website www.timwestwood.com. He will be judging all entries and choosing 12 tracks for a Westwood CD-only compilation, to be released July 2002.


"There is tremendous talent in the UK which is not getting recognised or represented." says Westwood "This CD aims to give much needed exposure to up and coming UK artists. Westwood is repping for the UK."


Westwood, who has recently signed up with dance music website www.trustthedj.com, may choose to invite successful artists to appear on his Radio 1 Rap Show to help get them exposure to hip-hop fans.

To enter the competition applicants must go to www.timwestwood.com, fill out the entry form and send in either an MP3, CD or MiniDisc. There will also be drop-off points at Hip-Hop Connection club nights. Closing date for entries is 18th June. Entries will not be considered without the entry form.
