The Prodigy's Firestarter is starting to replace traditional hymns like 'Abide With Me' and 'The Lord Is My Shepherd' at funerals in Britain, according to the latest music charts published by nationwide burial specialists the Co-Op Funeral Service.

Presumably most popular at cremations, the incendiary breakbeat anthem is increasingly being selected alongside disco anthems Another One Bites The Dust (Queen) and YMCA (The Village People), the Observer revealed this week.

"What may feel wacky to one person makes sense to another," funeral worker Craig Noonan told the newspaper.

"Fun loving people want to be remembered for their comical side."
