Retro specialists Strut Record have raided the vaults of the Bosworth Music Library for their latest Music For Dancefloors compilation, which comes out on the acclaimed independent label mid September. The library was established in the 60s to provide background music for TV stations and advertising agencies and includes the archive of Joseph Weinberger.

Less immediate and accessible than Strut's recent New York inspired retro compilations, the collection is nevertheless interesting, including tracks from Paulo Zavallone and Dutch session men Piet Van Meren and Jonny Weinberger. Adrian Gibson from the Jazz Cafe and Strut chief Quinton Scott made the selections.
