Squat Party Crews Wreck MTV

Sound systems from London's infamous free party circuit staged a 24 hour rave inside MTV's old headquarters in Camden last weekend, causing up to £150,000 of damage, according to MTV chief Dwight Tierney.

"Partitions and ceilings had been destroyed, carpets ripped up, equipment stolen, graffiti scrawled on the walls and the building used as a toilet," he told the Standard. "It was an atrocious sight."

The MTV president added that the unauthorised rave could be the last straw in persuading the US franchise to quit Camden.
